1、Product Development Background
After successfully developing the fixed X-ray flaw detector for steel-cord conveyor belt and receiving positive comments from extensive customers, we specially developed this mobile detector for those belt service providers who want to detect multiple steel-cord conveyor belts in different lengths and widths with one detector. This mobile flaw detector is simpler in structure, lighter in weight and easier to install than the previous fixed one, which is able to detect several steel-cord conveyor belts within a short time.
2、Schematic Diagram for Product Composition
The laptop gives operating commands to the X-ray receiving controller which then turns on the power supply and X-ray and carries out data acquisition and processing after receiving the commands from the software. After the X-ray beam emitted by the X-ray generator penetrates the belt, it will be captured by the photoelectric sensor in the X-ray receiving controller. After photoelectric data conversion, a visual image of the belt interior will be produced and transmitted to the laptop for display, analysis and storage.
3、Physical Components of the Detector
(1) X-ray Receiving Controller
Realize the functions of power ON/OFF control, voltage conversion, equipment status monitoring and signal transmission by receiving commands from laptop, and transmit the signals collected by its photoelectric sensor from the designated transmission interface to laptop after data conversion.
(2)X-ray Generator
Mainly realize the functions of ray beam generation and emission. By boosting the voltage switched in, the voltage difference between the two ends of the tube can reaches 160 kV, so as to generate rays which later form ray beams after filtration.
(3)Laptop
Send control commands through the special software installed, as well as receive, store, analyze and display the image data.

(1)Remote operation: device users can remotely complete all equipment operation and status monitoring.
(2)Real-time display: the operating status of the belt is displayed on the computer screen in real time like a film for users to watch on site.
(3)Holographic storage: the belt data acquired is completely stored in the hard disk, which ensures that the belt image is almost the same as the actual belt when processing and playing back.
(4)Automatic recognition: the device can automatically analyze the belt data without the assistance of personnel, recognize the breakage and abnormality information in the data of the entire belt, and classify and list all defects, so as to facilitate users to conduct specific maintenance.
(5)Video playback: reproduce the entire operating process of the belt, and adjust the running speed of the belt, so that users can have a detailed view and automatically jump to the corresponding defect image position by double-clicking the defect, thus saving the user's time of looking for it.
(6)Defect location: accurately locate each defect recognized through the pixel data, and display the location information in the observation window and report.
(7)High magnification: Realize subtle observation of various defects, such as wire splitting and corrosion, with the principle of magnifying glass.
(8)Accurate distant measurement: the distance between any two points in the belt can be measured through simple operation, which is accurate to 1mm.

8、Product Installation
(1)It is installed in the lower belt, which will not affect the normal transport operation of the belt conveyor.
(2)The structure of the product is simple, with free combination of the two modules, which can be adapted to a belt conveyor in any height, width and length.
(3)It only needs the lower belt of the steel-cord conveyor belt to pass through the middle between the X-ray generator and the X-ray receiving controller.
(4)The product is tightly dust-proof and can be applied to any working conditions, such as raining, snowing, dusty and other environments.
(5)The product is extremely light and convenient, which can be installed, commissioned and tested by 1 person only.
(6)In order to ensure the detection effect and accuracy, it is better to install the device at the position with flat ground and small belt vibration; power supply, with a voltage of AC100V-265V, shall be provided on the site of the device.
(7)Notice: Because it is a mobile device which detects belts in different lengths, widths and heights, it is impossible to give a standard mounting bracket and radiation shield. Users need to make the installation bracket and radiation shield according to the site conditions of the conveyor belt.
9、Maintenance
(1)As the outer shell of the product is made of metal, and the internal parts are basically electronic components, there is no wear and tear, without need for maintenance.
(2)The service life of the ray generator is limited. Ideally, its service life is 25,000 hours.
(3)Please move and place the product carefully, as violent bump and vibration will reduce the service life of the ray generator and even cause the fault of the high-voltage transformer of the ray tube under severe circumstances.
